    What's up boys and girls,

    Don't believe the rumors. FPATM is alive and well. We've just taken a bit of a break.

    However, we'll be playing a show pretty soon. Here are the specs.

    THURSDAY, OCT 7
    CAPITOL GARAGE (THE NEW ONE) ON K ST

    We're playing the first Amateurs. It's basically what Fuck Fridays was - DJ sets by Jon and Shaun, and live bands. Here's the website. http://www.angelfire.com/droid/smdc/amateursmain.html

    It's 21 and over (just like all the shows at the new Cap Garage), so you kiddies need to get a fake ID or sneak in or something.

    Come out and watch us play. It's the first show we've played for a few months, and we're going to be doing some more re-grouping after so it will be the last chance to see us for a couple more months. We've even got a surprise for you. See you there.

    so, apparently our name was dropped at the Sacramento Area Music Awards, or SAMMIES, last night. DJ Shaun Slaughter, one of the 2 best DJ's on the West Coast, won bes DJ in sac and said that everyone should se US in his award speech. That is sweet.

    we're not dead. just working a lot. we have a couple tracks in the works and are nosing around for live shows. this will be a bit harder because FUCK FRIDAYS has been temporarily put out of service because the landlords of the townhouse closed it down. Unfortunately, a lot of sac venues aren't really keen on bands that are years ahead of their time, but would rather book indie bands with lots of drums and guitars. keep checking up, and maybe soon we'll have a website.

    also, FPATM will be moving to midtown Sacramento in one month. we will no longer be a davis-based band, but we will still bring the pop music love to this quaint little place as much as possible.

    After a number of shows with amazing bands like Junobot, Pets, the Lovemakers, XOXOXO, and Crack WAR among others we're a bit worn down. This is especially due to the fact that we've been playing, although revamped versions, many of the same songs for over a year now. So FPAM is going to take some time to worry about other things besides playing shows for a while. Most of these are things that we have been needing to do for sometime, especially now that we are frequently playing more than drunken house parties (not to say that we're above parties because, frankly, some of our best shows have been at house parties). Here are a few things we would like to get accomplished during this time.

    -writing/recording the best songs sacramento has ever heard
    -reprogramming old songs
    -getting together some merchandise
    -maybe a real website?
    -maybe a 12"?

    We may still play some last-minute shows and stuff if they come along, so check the shows listing (info page) often. See you in the future.

    We Played F-CK FRIDAYS at the Townhouse in Sac on Friday night with SF's Crack WAR and DJ Nako from popscene.  It was as crazy as it was fun, even with the scary moments, and everyone rocked.  Here are some pics from the show.  For pics of Crack WAR's set and the DJ sets, click here.
